Dr. Haley is an Assistant Professor at the Boston University School of Public Health in the Department of Community Health Sciences. Her research expertise includes studying the social determinants of health, with a focus on how features of the social and built environment create disparities in health and healthcare utilization among people with or at increased risk for HIV. She has experience conducting research about how health policies impact substance and alcohol treatment and elucidates the pathways through which health policies shape HIV prevention and care outcomes. During the SHARE Program, the Scholar will be involved in a research study examining HIV care provider interactions with patients around cannabis use. There will be opportunities to engage with both quantitative and qualitative data.
