Ana María del Río-González, PhD, MA, MS is the Project Director and Co-Principal Investigator of SHARE. She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Prevention and Community Health, Milken Institute School of Public Health at GWU. Dr. del Río-González’s program of research focuses on identifying and understanding factors associated with health disparities among minoritized and marginalized groups. She has extensive experience in quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods HIV research with diverse populations, both in Colombia and in the U.S.—including Latina transgender women, cisgender Latino sexual minority men, Black men, and people with a history of involvement with the criminal justice system (i.e., incarceration, parole and probation).
